Welcome to Siesta Goa, a retreat in the embrace of nature. We wish you a warm welcome to our home in the hills, a place of peace and tranquillity in North Goa, India. Surrounded by winding lanes and lush greenery, Siesta Goa is nestled on a private hillock on which our family home proudly stands. We combine the essence of a relaxing village life with the pleasures of a holiday to offer you a tranquil rustic place to enjoy the true Goan life of siesta and fiesta under the sun. We offer to share our home to you, a place to rejuvenate your soul. Get back to nature with these earthy palettes. These warm tones of red, yellow, white and green cocoon you in a feeling of being one with nature.

Our property has been uniquely designed to help you achieve the perfect holiday in an idyllic village in Goa. Located in the restful village of Pomburpa, North Goa, Siesta Goa offers you a chance to relax and unwind amongst the nestling sounds of village life. Whether it’s the sound of the local birds or the famous Goan baker tooting his horn offering his fresh array for locally baked bread or the trees whispering in the wind, be prepared to let go of bustling city life and sink into serenity.

Siesta Goa has been borne from the heart of the Fernandes family. With an aim at restoring old Goan homes to their former (or new) glory, Siesta Goa, the main family home was bought when it was a beautiful old ruin that told the story of how locale village life once was in Goa. Our father, Roy painstakingly and lovingly designed and rebuilt the house that stands proudly today whilst maintaining some of its original foundation. The story of Siesta Goa was born after the restoration of the main house. We open our doors to welcome you into our family home which is located at the base of our privately owned hillock. The hillock offers a view of the green hills across the famous Goan fields. The accommodation we offer to our guests are secluded and private from the family home. As all our accommodations are on the hillock, to access the accommodation, there is an upward flight of approximately 50 stairs that bring you to the pool area and thereafter the rooms. The two-tier pool has an outdoor bar and dining area where you can use the barbeque if you ever fancy. These have been designed to blend into the nature around it. Our property is a three tiered hill with the house at the base. In the middle (after the stairs) you have the pool, the outdoor area, the tree houses and the caves. At the highest tier, you have the cabin which offers total seclusion and is surrounded the trees and the local animals. Besides our guests, we also have the original inhabitants of the land, who, if you are lucky, might offer a glimpse of themselves to you, but they can be extremely shy. These included peacocks, porcupines, mongoose, a variety of birds, snakes.  

Location Whilst Goa has always been famous for its coastal life and beaches, we met many people who wanted a chance to relax away from the popular busy coastal club life whilst also still having some access to it. Siesta Goa is about a half an hour drive (just be mindful of Goan traffic!!) away from the nearest beach ( beach names). We can arrange taxi services, at an additional cost, for you if you want to spend the day at the beach. the closest city to Siesta Goa is Mapusa which is about 25 mins away by car. We can also help you arrange motorbikes or cars for hire if you wish to travel around Goa.
